Sattvic Sage Ayurveda presents: CO-ED Homa Fire Ritual and Drum Circle
Ayurveda views health as a state of complete physical, mental, social, spiritual and environmental well-being. Ayurveda specifically talks about the need for “Daivavyapazraya Chikitsa” (prayers/poojas etc.) to enable spiritual well-being. Pooja is a systematic procedure that involves physical and mental discipline requires inner and outer cleanliness and progresses from mere outer worship to awareness of the true Self. Thus, daily prayers, monthly poojas and yearly Homas are performed with a view to achieve all round well-being of the entire community.
Attendees are invited to participate in all these prayers irrespective of caste, gender, creed or religion.
What to bring for offering to the fire:
  • Intentions
  • Write your names, zodiac sign and requests to be given to the circle leader to add to the fire during the Homa for special blessings
  • Small fruits, herbs and flowers

Other items to bring:

  • Bell or drum (any item that can be used as a drum such as a wooden spoon and pot/bucket (no experience needed)
  • Clothing that will be sufficient for the weather as we will be outside

Agnihotra starts the fire precisely at sunset (Friday July 14th Sunset: 8:24pm) which will purify the surrounding areas including SoderWorld Garden, plant life and waters. We will chant and drum to request health and healing, spiritual enlightenment, protection, release of negative energy, release of old emotional pains and purification of past karmas. We will also chant and drum asking for fertility for any woman present wishing to bear a child. We will chant OM and recite the names of Goddess Lalita as well as Kriyas and Pranayama.
Blessings are bestowed on all in attendance.
